The Ministry of Justice points out that, in addition to qualified repression, the operation promoted prevention and awareness actions, as well as expanding the protection network for vulnerable women.

“Lectures, conversation wheels and distribution of informative material were held in public spaces, schools and communities, directly reaching 13.6 million people throughout Brazil,” said the ministry.

These activities were implemented with the objective of expanding the dialogue on gender equality, strengthening the support network and stimulating the denunciation of cases of violence.

“In all, 65,628 public safety agents were mobilized, who performed 181,267 operating procedures during the operation,” the ministry said.

According to the director of the Directorate of Integrated and Intelligence Operations (Diopi) of the National Secretariat of Public Security, Rodney da Silva, the operation represents “a milestone of integration between civil, military, technical-scientific, criminal, firefighters and municipal guards, who acted side by side with the Judiciary, the Public Prosecution Service and civil society”.

According to him, prevention, qualified repression and dialogue are “pillars to break the cycle of violence and protect those who need it most.”
