The United States, through its embassy in the Dominican Republic, recognized the work of local authorities for the largest seizure of cocaine of the history of the country and the region, works that are developed through the Operation Panthera 7.
In a publication on its X account, the North American embassy here highlighted the execution of the Public Ministrywith the support of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and the Drug Control Administration (DEA).
“We continue to work in arduous collaboration in the fight against drug trafficking and money laundering,” said the United States diplomatic representation in the Dominican Republic, in the case of which there are seven people involved and for which coercive measures will be requested.

According to what was reported by the Public Ministry, in the course of the investigation of the Panthera 7 case, evidence has been collected that demonstrates that the 9,587 packages, with a total weight of 9,889 kilograms of cocaine, were brought to the Dominican Republic from Colombia by via sea, specifically through Bayahibe, La Romana and Pedernales, in the months prior to December 2024.
In addition, the criminal organization recruited several employees of the Caucedo Multimodal Port, who contributed to the entry of the cargo to the terminal aboard container number FFAU4542281.
Likewise, that the criminal organization operates the container transport companies Grasswey Group SRL and GWG Transport, which they used for international drug trafficking. Although the investigation reveals a broader and more complex network of sponsors.
The investigation showed that, to guard the cargo, four men entered the port with assault weapons inside the empty container with the active complicity of employees of the aforementioned terminal who were associated with the criminal organization; as proven by the evidence collected in the investigation, some of which was delivered to the authorities by the Caucedo administration.
