Operation Mantle: 398 packages of alleged drugs are seized in Punta Pacífica

The National Police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office carry out Operation Mantle against Drug Trafficking crimes, where search proceedings were carried out in a building in the Punta Pacífica area with the apprehension of two foreigners.

Two cars and an apartment were raided by the Special Prosecutor for Drug-Related Crimes and units of the National Judicial Investigation Directorate, seizing 398 packages with the alleged illicit substance and apprehending two Colombian citizens.

Said rectangular-sized packages covered with black adhesive tape were found inside one of the searched vehicles, as well as more than 3,000 dollars in cash.

During the search of the apartment, several packages containing alleged drugs, digital scales and other evidence were seized.

The apprehended and the evidence are forwarded to the judicial authorities to continue with the corresponding process.
