The Special Action Group on the Repression of Organized Crime (Gaeco), of the São Paulo Public Prosecution Service, together with the Taboão da Serra Civil Police, launched on Monday morning (17) the Operation Hidden Fact.
With ten search and seizure warrants and two temporary arrest, the operation investigates alleged fraud in the attempted murder against the former mayor of Taboão da Serra José Aprigioon October 18, 2024.
The suspicion of the investigation bodies is that the attempted murder against Aprigio has been forged to benefit you in past municipal elections. Aprigio (Somos) was trying to reelection, but was defeated in the second round by Daniel Bugalho (União Brasil).
The State Public Security Secretariat reported that a man was arrested, there was seizure of cell phones, computers, money and weapons.
Aprigio was shot on his shoulder when he was in his car, but there are suspicions that the alleged attack was organized by municipal administration secretaries. Gilmar de Jesus Santos, suspected of being the shooter, was arrested last year. Another shooter and a fellow are at large.
