Justice regulates temporary visa for digital nomads in Brazil

The Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJ) accounted for a total of 71.5 tons of drugs and contraband products seized in the month of September throughout the country as part of Operation Horus.Operation Horus seized 71.5 tons of drugs and contraband

Since April 2019, when the operation began, more than 1,670 tons of drugs and contraband have been seized. The total estimated damage to criminals amounts to R$ 6.7 billion.

Operation Horus focuses on combating criminal practices along the 16,800 kilometers (km) of land borders in Brazil. More than 800 state and federal public safety professionals participate in actions covering 14 states.

According to the balance sheet for September, the state in which the largest number of seizures was made was Mato Grosso do Sul (36.8 tons), followed by Paraná (22.8 tons).

“Together, they caused an estimated loss of BRL 198 million to crime on Brazilian borders: Mato Grosso do Sul with BRL 124.2 million and Paraná with BRL 73.8 million”, detailed the MJ.
