The Foundation for Ecosocialism of Caracas, in coordination with Operation Caracas Smile, deploys new animal care actions in the Altagracia, Antímano and 23 de Enero parishes, with the aim of guaranteeing basic veterinary services and reproductive control for pets in organized communities.
In the Altagracia parish, a comprehensive day was held aimed at the communes Circuito Comunal Miraflores, Comandante Hugo Chávez and Comuna Miraflores, where ear cleaning, nail cutting and vaccination services were offered. The activities were aimed at promoting the responsible care of pets in community spaces.
Simultaneously, in Antímano a day of feline sterilization and castration was carried out, achieving the attention of 27 specimens: 15 females and 12 males. This intervention is part of the preventive actions for population control of cats in urban areas, with an ecosocialist approach.
The 23 de Enero parish was also the scene of a Special Feline Sterilization and Castration Day, where the territorial scope of the program was expanded. The activities were developed with technical support and community participation.
These actions ratify the institutional commitment to the well-being of companion animals, through free veterinary operations, direct care in communities and promotion of responsible practices. The Foundation for Ecosocialism will continue to strengthen these types of initiatives for animal protection.
