With the Operation Bolivarian Shield Cacique Maracay, members of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB), have dismantled 14 surveillance booths used by criminal groups along the Autopista Regional del Centro (ARC), to commit irregular acts and alter social peace.
The information was released by the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez through a message on his account on the social network Twitter.
In this sense, Hernández Lárez specified that in the face of these criminal actions by structures called Structured Groups of Organized Crime (GEDO), the FANB will remain unfolded with constant patrol.
“In Operation #EscudoBolivariano Cacique Maracay, #FANB has dismantled 14 observation booths along the Central Regional Highway, used by criminal groups to disturb social peace. #FANB remains deployed in constant patrolling”, published the Chief of Ceofanb.
They seize weapons and arrest two subjects
Likewise, the Chief of the Ceofanb reported that, as part of the Bolivarian Shield Cacique Maracay operation, two members of the GEDO “El Conejo” were arrested and two weapons of war used against the combat patrol were seized.
In addition, he stressed that the FANB “maintains the deployment with more than 2,000 men guaranteeing social peace.”

Operation Wara 2023
On the other hand, in his Twitter account, the Chief of Ceofanb reported on Operation Wara Bolivarian Shield 2023. This is deployed in the channels of the Orinoco Delta to combat irregular groups that carry out illegal practices against the environment.
“Operation #EscudoBolivariano Wara 2023, no criminal armed group may establish itself in our free and sovereign territorial spaces. #FANB deployed in the pipes of the Orinoco Delta exercising sovereignty, ”he added.
In this regard, Hernández Lárez emphasized that the FANB will remain vigilant in national parks and forest reserves, to defend the environment.
“The protection of the environment in National Parks and Monuments, as well as in forest reserves, water sources, biodiversity, etc., are citizen duties. The laws of the Republic and its territorial ordering must be respected by all citizens”, he added.
It should be remembered that the Bolivarian Shield Operation “Wara 2023” was activated to combat structures for arms purposes, drug trafficking, illegal minery and human trafficking.
“Venezuela is a territory of peace, law and justice. Armed groups that threaten social peace will not be tolerated”, reiterated the Chief of Ceofanb.
