Operation Beta: 26 weapons seized and 241 people apprehended

During the last 24 hours, the Security Forces apprehended 241 people and confiscated 26 firearms throughout the country.

In the apprehensions of Operation Beta developed at the national level; 120 were for Trades, 79 for Administrative Offenses, 25 for Flagrancy, 11 for micro-trafficking and 5 for Drug-trafficking.

During the operations in conjunction with the Public Ministry, 87 search procedures were carried out where 135 drug packages, 910 ammunition, two cars, B/. 1,509.60 in cash and 5 vehicles that had a complaint for Theft and Robbery were recovered.

Meanwhile, it carries out an emergency evacuation and 1,990 foreigners were detected with overdue stays, evasion of immigration controls, and alert impediments, among others.

The National Directorate of Transit Operations placed 1,444 violations of the Traffic Regulations, of which 349 were for speeding, 12 for proven drunkenness, and 3 for alcoholic breath.

With “Operation Beta 2023”, security strategies are strengthened for the benefit of all those who are in the national territory.
