Operation Alpha: 141 people apprehended and 1,591 infractions placed throughout the country

During the last 24 hours, the Security Forces apprehended 517 people and placed 1,591 traffic violations on drivers throughout the country.

In the apprehensions of Operation Alpha developed at the national level; 74 were for Trades, 46 for Administrative Offenses, 14 for Flagrancy and 7 for micro-trafficking.

During the operations in conjunction with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, 31 search procedures were carried out, 3 firearms, 15 B/.1 ammunition, 147.55 in cash were confiscated, and 4 cars were recovered that had complaints of theft.
In addition, 10 foreigners with overdue stays, evasion of immigration controls, and alert impediments, among others, were detected.

The National Directorate of Transit Operations registered 1,591 violations of the Traffic Regulations, of which 362 were for speeding, 15 for proven drunkenness, and 5 for alcoholic breath.

With “Operation Alpha 2023”, security strategies are strengthened for the benefit of all those who are in the national territory.
