A 30-year-old man intended to jump out of a Korean commercial plane and opened one of the emergency doors as the plane was maneuvering for a landing, still some 200 meters above the ground.
The passenger of the South Korean airline Asiana unexpectedly opened an emergency door near his post and although the pilots managed to land, the event left at least nine people hospitalized, according to Deutsche Welle.
The nearly 200 passengers traveling aboard an Airbus A321-200 on a domestic flight suffered a chilling experience.
the south korean agency yonhap collected the testimony of one of the passengers. “It was chaos: people near the gate seemed to faint one by one and flight attendants were calling the in-flight doctors by radio.”
“I thought the plane was going to explode. I thought I was going to die,” he added.
A video shared on social media showed passengers sitting near the open emergency door that was buffeted by the wind.
