The National Electric System Operator (ONS) confirmed the occurrence of a widespread blackout this Sunday (1st) in Roraima, which has isolated distribution from the rest of the country. The capital Boa Vista and parts of the interior of the state were affected.
According to the ONS, there was an automatic shutdown of the system, which had a load of around 85 MW at the time. The supply was resumed at 1:40 pm.
The agency must release a report after determining the cause of the problem and those responsible.
THE Brazil Agency attempts to contact Roraima Energia, the company responsible for supplying the state and managing five thermoelectric plants. Roraima is the only state in the country that is not integrated with the National Interconnected System.
