The National Electoral Processes Office (ONPE) has launched a Web portal in which they gathered fundamental information about the 2026 general elections, which will be executed on Sunday, April 12 of next year.
In these elections, more than 27 million Peruvians will vote to choose their political representatives of the next 2026-2031 period.
The authorities that will be chosen will be: President, Vice Presidents, Senators, Deputies and Holders of the Andean Parliament.
In the portal, videos about key data, main regulatory changes, requirements for digital vote were incorporated, with the purpose of a better understanding for the population.
On the other hand, the entity made available to all Peruvians residing in national territory the application “Choose your voting premises.” Thus, up to 3 voting options can be selected, which the ONPE will take into consideration at the time of designating each person’s voting premises.
The portal also included a schedule to the electoral process, where 3 key points stand out in this month, which are the following:
- October 14: Electoral Register for General Elections 2026.
- October 19: Deadline for the approval of standards, within the framework of the primary elections.
- October 28 to 31: Political organizations make the registration of candidate.
This schedule extends until April 12, 2026, when the electoral elections will be held.
