On days of Regional and Municipal Elections of Peru of 2022 it is important that you already know where you have to vote. If you have still done so, here we share the LINK of the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) and we indicate the steps to follow so that you avoid setbacks on October 2 and possible fines.
A total of 24,760,062 Peruvians and foreigners have been summoned to elect the next regional governors, as well as provincial and district mayors for the next four years. For the massive day, the Reniec has arranged that you can vote with the expired DNI.
If you have already renewed your DNI or updated your address, you must bear in mind that the electoral roll closed on October 2, 2021 for these elections, so if you did the process after that date, you will continue to vote in the district that registered your previous identity card. WHERE TO VOTE IN THE OCTOBER 2 ELECTIONS?
To find your polling place assigned by the ONPE, you must follow these steps:
- Enter the ONPE web portal: https://consultaelectoral.onpe.gob.pe/ or click this LINK.
- Write your ID number.
- Click on “Consult”.
- Then click on “Consult”, your data will appear (names, surnames, DNI, district) and you will be able to know where you have to vote and if you were elected as a member of the polling station for the 2022 Regional and Municipal Elections.

WHAT WILL BE THE SCHEDULE OF THE 2022 REGIONAL AND MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS?
The schedule to comply with the duty to vote is from 7 am to 5 pm, but the ONPE suggests voting in a staggered schedule in order to avoid crowds, because we are still in a pandemic. This is the proposal:
Voters in risk groups
If you are an older adult, pregnant woman or person with disabilities or at risk, it is recommended to go during the following hours:
- From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
voters at large
If you do not belong to a risk group, it is recommended to go at the following times, according to the last digit of your ID:
- 1, 2, 3 and 4: from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- 5,6, 7, 8, 9 and 0: from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
