On this Sunday’s day, January 15, only 79 people went to the health centers in Santa Cruzin search of his dose of immunization against covid-19, as reported by the Departmental Health Service (Headquarters).
In the report, it is stated that 86 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed during the day, alltwo registered in Andrés Ibáñez province.
It should be remembered that on the eve (Saturday), 58 infected patients were reported of the disease, the majority in the Santa Cruz capital.
Since the biological against this disease was applied, the mortality rate dropped to minimum levels. However, the health authorities ask the population not to neglect the vaccination scheme and go to the centers to receive their respective doses.
A few days ago, Jorge Quiroz, coordinator of Urban Networks of the Headquarters, said that the positive cases are concentrated in 20 Santa Cruz municipalities and the occupancy of beds, on average, does not exceed 15% in the department; however, vaccination was again reduced, since an average of 1,600 doses are administered.
“This first epidemiological week, five deaths have been confirmed. We want to make the call to the population, that we be aware that both vaccination and self-care are the only measures that will help us control the disease,” Quiroz said.
