Cavenez revealed to the EFE news agency that 10 vehicles were assembled in November to reach a total of 72 cars in 2022, mainly bus and truck chassis. According to the sources consulted by the agency, this 800% increase in unit manufacturing compared to 2021 was due to the slight economic recovery
The Automotive Chamber of Venezuela (Cavenez) reported this Friday, December 23, that a total of 72 vehicles were assembled in the country between January and November 2022, which represents an 800% growth for the industry compared to the same period in 2021. , when only eight units were assembled.
This was explained by Cavenez to the EFE agency, explaining that in November 10 vehicles were produced to reach the total that was registered. Despite the increase in the assembly of vehicles, mainly trucks and buses, they recognize that production is still well below the levels registered at the beginning of the 21st century.

Bautista expressed on that occasion that they handle the annual import record of some 5,000 units and estimate that in 2022 it could end at 6,000.
According to a source consulted by the Spanish news agency, the increase in vehicle assembly is due to the slight improvement in the Venezuelan economy, which, according to figures from the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (Cepal), will close with an increase of 12% at the end of 2022.
The Venezuelan industry came to assemble 172,418 vehicles in 2007, which made it the best year for the sector so far this century.
The increase in the assembly of vehicles occurs in the midst of the project of the Nicolás Maduro administration to import vehicles from Iran, which will be sold in the country with prices ranging from 12,000 dollars and with financing, and to reactivate the assembly of Iranian cars in Venezuela.
