Tragic event brings mourning again to the province of Atalaya. Little Josué, just one year old, died after suffering second-degree burns in multiple parts of his body, despite the medical team’s efforts to save his life.
The accident occurred on Wednesday the 19th in the Bolognesi town center, Tahuani district, Atalaya province.
The minor was rushed from said health center to the Atalaya hospital, where he arrived on November 18 at 6:30 p.m. According to her mother Nilda, the accident occurred while she was parboiling ripe bananas in a wood stove.
Inadvertently, the child would have tipped over the pot with boiling water, which fell on his body. Despite the efforts of the medical team, Josué could not withstand the severity of the injuries. The death certificate was issued by pediatrician Patricia Puma Vilca.
After the unfortunate outcome, the hospital social worker coordinated with the municipality of Atalaya for the purchase of the coffin, as well as the food and transportation of the relatives.
