Santo Domingo.- Next November, from 10 to 23, the tenth National Population and Housing Census will be heldan event that will have more than 35 thousand people distributed for several days throughout the national territory, knocking on doors and asking for personal data.

Given the wave of insecurity and mistrust that exists in the country, the National Statistics Office (ONE) reported this Wednesday that the personnel in charge of surveying, in their role as enumerators or supervisors, will be duly identified and with a QR code that people will be able to scan to validate their identity, as part of the entity.

Rivas specified that citizens, at the time of being registered, may ask the enumerator to show them their identity card to verify the identity of the ONE representative requesting their data.

In addition, to reinforce trust and security in the process, Víctor Romero, director of the Census, explained that the enumerators will be assigned in the same communities to which they belong and in the case of the metropolitan area, they will be requested in the accompaniment of the neighborhood associations. and condominium owners for access to the towers.

“In the metropolitan area, what we are resorting to is the accompaniment of neighborhood associations and condominium associations, to guarantee reliable access to homes at the time of surveying,” said Romero.

He added that the questionnaire to be filled out by the enumerators with data provided by the citizens consists of 67 questions and is estimated to last 28 minutes in each registered household.
