Personnel from the National Directorate of Firefighters found the body of a person among the remains of a house in Pinar Norte which was consumed by the flames of a fire.
According to what was reported by the Fire Department, it was a house located on Eduardo Pérez and Carlos Gardel streets, in Pinar Norte. The incident occurred after 5:00 p.m. this Sunday, when the 9-1-1 Emergency Service transmitted the alert for the fire.
Fire officials went to the indicated site and, upon arrival, found a 6×6 meter house engulfed in flames. The building, built with block walls and a metal sheet roof, was totally affected by the fire.
After controlling the fire, the staff found, inside the damaged house, the body of a person, who is estimated to be the inhabitant of it.
Fire officials from Solymar worked on the site with the support of the Centennial Barracks. Likewise, police officers from the 3rd section of Canelones and the Scientific Police were present.
Authorities are working to determine the causes that gave rise to the fire.
