One of the victims of explosion in an industry chemical in Mauá, in Greater São Paulo, died as a result of a cardiorespiratory arrest. Another man was also treated at the scene with burns on his body.
According to the Fire Department, the two men were in a reservoir. On site, products derived from ethyl acetate were processed.
According to a spokesperson for the Mauá Petrochemical Complex, the company where the accident occurred is located nearby, but does not belong to the petrochemical complex, as initially informed by the firefighters.
