SAN PEDRO DE Macorís.- A court in San Pedro de Macorís imposed three months of preventive detention against Fernando Altagracia Peña Eusebio, one of the teachers accused of raping a 13-year-old student at the La Syria school, located in the Quisqué municipality.
At the end of the hearing, the accused, crying, declared: “I am innocent, I only raised the alarm.”

Lawyer Peña Eusebio indicated that he will appeal the decision, arguing that his client should not be singled out without conclusive evidence.
It is recalled that in the case there is another teacher involved, who is a fugitive. This is Alejandro Roberto Bello Matos.
Bello Matos fled after he became aware of the complaint filed by the minor’s parents against him and his cousin, the accused Peña Eusebio.
According to the request for a measure of coercion from the prosecuting body, it establishes that the accused Peña Eusebio raped the student in the classroom of a school in that jurisdiction, in the afternoon.
