One of the leaders of an important Ecuadorian criminal group is captured in Cali

A joint operation carried out by Colombian and Ecuadorian police authorities allowed to capture in the city of Cali to Cristhian Pastor, alias ‘Gato Celi’accused of having perpetrated multiple homicides in Ecuador.

For his part, the Minister of the Interior of Ecuador, John Reimberg gave details about the criminal record of Pastor, who would be responsible for having committed acts such as kidnappings and extortion.

“He was captured in Cali, Colombia, Cristhian Pastor V. alias ‘Gato Celi’, leader of the Chone Killersaccomplice of alias ‘Bob Marley’ and responsible for multiple kidnappings, extortions and murders in Durán“, he stated.

Reimberg emphasized that the offender maintained multiple confrontations with other criminal organizations from the neighboring country.

Who are the Chone Killers?

The Chone Killers have become one of the most feared criminal organizations in Ecuadorconsidering the evolution that this type of groups have had when going from street gangs to sophisticated movements with latest technology weaponry.

According to the specialized portal InSightCrimethe Chone Killers were born in Guayaquil and from there they have grown to expand to different parts of the neighboring country.

It should be noted that in December 2024hitmen murdered in the city of Cali to one of its leaders Benjamín Camacho, aka Ben 10.
