Despite all this, the former president, on June 30, finally confirmed that he wanted to be president again. He made the announcement via Twitter.
“Today I reaffirm my decision and willingness to take all the risks. I want to work again for all Peruvians,” he wrote in a letter published on his profile.

Just days later, Keiko Fujimori announced that the former president would be the presidential candidate of Fuerza Popular, by mutual agreement between her and her father.
When will the former president’s wake be?
Former President Alberto Fujimori will be laid to rest starting this September 12th from 11:00 AM at the Museo de la Nación until Saturday morning, as confirmed on her social networks by the former president’s daughter, Keiko Fujimori.
He also indicated that he will be transferred to the Campo Fe cemetery in Huachipa on Saturday morning.
“We appreciate your support and great displays of solidarity in these painful times,” said Keiko Fujimori.
