Enem
The National High School Examination assesses students’ academic performance at the end of basic education. THE exam is considered the main gateway to higher education in Brazil, through the Unified Selection System (Sisu), the University for All Program (Prouni) and the Student Financing Fund (Fies).
In 2025, Enem will once again be an option for those who want to obtain a high school completion certificate or partial declaration of proficiency.
Public and private educational institutions use the Enem score, as a sole or complementary criterion, to select students.
Individual Enem results can also be used in the selection processes of institutions in Portugal that have an agreement with Inep.
