The National Statistics Office (ONE) extended this Tuesday the registration process of the X National Population and Housing Census, until November 30.
The entity reported that during the first week the decision was made to extend the survey period to guarantee coverage of the census process until November 30.
The registration of the census presented delays due to some inconveniences in the field that were registered at the beginning of the process.
These efforts have allowed that, as of this Tuesday, several municipalities are already closing, and others need additional days to complete the journey of the workload.
The ONE reiterated the call for citizens to continue receiving the X team in their homes Census National Population and Housing 2022.
On the other hand, the registration day progresses amid discontent and criticism from the staff, who allege not having received the allowances that the National Statistics Office (ONE) promised to deposit with direct payments to the bank accounts of the enumerators and supervisors.
Last week, the ONE reported that it had deposited per diems to 27,986 enumerators and census supervisors, which is equal to 56% of the 35,000 collaborators distributed throughout the national geography.
However, Perla Rapsa, a census taker, who was in El Invi of the National District, stated that both she and her colleagues have not received the corresponding allowance from the ONE. A similar situation occurred in other sectors of Greater Santo Domingo, where according to reports, only some have received per diems.
