The crash and overturning of an interprovincial bus carrying musicians from the Gran Banda de Lima group left one dead and several injured. The band was returning to Lima after performing in the district of Palca in the province of Tarma, Junín region.

The accident occurred in the area known as the Graton tunnel at kilometer 96 of the central highway, near the district of San Mateo in the province of Huarochirí, Lima region.
Officers from the San Mateo police station, municipal security personnel and personnel from the Deviandes company attended the scene of the tragedy.
The deceased was identified as Carlos Ruiz, who played the bass and was from Chosica. The injured are:
