In a quick intervention, units of the National Police Intelligence Directorate arrested two subjects allegedly involved in the robbery of five customers in a restaurant located in Las Mañanitas. The incident occurred on the night of Friday, September 20, when the individuals broke into the establishment, intimidating those present with a firearm and stealing the customers’ belongings.
When the National Police units arrived, the criminals opened fire on them and an exchange of gunfire began, in which one of them was injured and was taken to a medical center, where he lost his life.
During the search operation in Pedregal, Villa Lobos sector, a suspect was arrested, who had two wounds in his thigh and buttocks, and a car possibly used to escape was seized; while at the scene of the incident, the driver of the vehicle in which they arrived at the restaurant was arrested.
Investigations continue to determine the whereabouts of all those involved in this criminal act.
