Institute health workerso Oncology lifted the indefinite strike, that they abide by since last Monday. This once the Government determined to leave, for that hospital, the administrative item they demanded.

“We have managed to ensure that the item we were fighting for stays in the Oncology, until the Ministry of Health provides us with an item with funds from the Government. This is a favorable response to our demand, therefore the indefinite strike is suspended,” Escobar remarked.

Likewise, the executive clarified that this item is not the only need of the hospitalbut more staff are needed, among other requirements, to avoid closing the services in the Oncology.

I want to thank the people who supported this cause, and we apologize for the inconvenience, but it was a fair demand,” Escobar said.
