The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) does not foresee important changes in the weather conditions for this Sunday, due to the incidence of a high pressure system, which will favor sunny conditions and a feeling of heat about our country.

He pointed out that the temperatures will become hot in the afternoonexpecting values ​​in urban areas that will oscillate between 29?°C and 32?°Cdue to the change of east component wind, however, at night and early morning they will feel pleasant with values ​​between 5 °C and 11 °C in areas of mountains and valleys in the interior of the country.

However, the meteorological report warns of the presence of a weak trough to the northwest of the island, as well as the effects of the wind and local orographic factors that will induce some showers this afternoon to the northeast, southeast and the Central mountain range.

Due to the wind and abnormal waves on the Atlantic coast, the Onamet recommends small and medium-sized vessels to stay in port from Cabo San Rafael (La Altagracia) to Punta Gorda (El Seibo).

Although he indicated that, starting tonight, a gradual improvement in the waves is expected in relation to previous days.
