On the day without VAT, 1.7 million digital transactions were made

This Saturday, the Colombian Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CCCE) delivered the consolidated balance of the second day of the day without VAT of 2022.

This report highlights that the total value of sales through digital channels was 678.6 billionwhile the total number of approved digital transactions was 1.7 million.

On the other hand, sales made through electronic commerce on June 17, 2022 were 4.3 times higher than those made on an average Friday in the first quarter of 2022. However, with respect to the first day without VAT of 2022, the On March 11, the total value of e-commerce sales decreased 2.69%.

Regarding the behavior during the day, two strong peaks of digital sales were registered on the day between: 12:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

During the second day without VAT of 2022, there was also a significant growth in the participation of the debit card as a means of payment for e-commerce consumers.
