On the border with Mexico, Trump insists on the death penalty for drug traffickers...

Trump and his controversial proposals

Death penalty

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump proposed implementing the death penalty for those persons of foreign and illegal origin dedicated to drug trafficking and those who also murder police officers, sheriffs, border agents or other law enforcement officers in the United States.

“We will rid our country of illegal aliens, drug dealers, thieves, murderers, gang members and child predators. We will make America safe again for our citizens,” he said during an event at the border.

It goes against human traffickers

Donald Trump also attacked individuals or organized crime groups engaged in human trafficking, who will receive more severe penalties, especially when it comes to trafficking women and children for sexual purposes.

“A life sentence is guaranteed for anyone found guilty of child trafficking, and a death penalty for anyone found guilty of sex trafficking of children or women,” he said.

According to Trump, these trials would be carried out more expeditiously, avoiding lengthy processes that can last 15 years.

Trump reiterated his promise to make his country great and earn the respect of other countries around the world and to secure its southern border with Mexico.
