On January 10, the water cuts to defaulters with the IDAAN begin

This Tuesday, January 10, the operation to cut off the drinking water service in various parts of the capital city will begin, as announced by the Institute of National Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN).

The commercial technical staff will cut off the water service to delinquent customers with the institution in the Metropolitan area, specifically in Costa del Este, Obarrio, El Cangrejo, Condado del Rey, Bella Vista and Villa Lucre.

EI IDAAN highlighted that it made available to its clients, for 7 months, an incentive plan so that more than 300,000 people with outstanding accounts could catch up through the “25×7 Pay and Save” plan and with payment arrangements .

He revealed that as of December 31, 2022, more than 41,517 Panamanians approached with a contribution of 7,050,604 with 23 dollars, leaving the delinquency at 102,458,725 dollars.

The institution reiterated to those clients who still have outstanding accounts and who receive the service continuously, to approach the nearest agency and formalize a payment arrangement to avoid supply cutoff.
