To guarantee compliance with respect for the human rights of migrants, the Ombudsmen of Panama and Colombia began a tour this week where the migratory flow is verified and in the Migrant Reception Stations (ERM), in the province of Darién .

The defense mission has the purpose of establishing an early warning to prevent and address possible human rights situations of migrants on the Colombian-Panamanian border.

At the end of the tour in the MREs, a report will be prepared between the two Ombudsmen with recommendations to improve the timely care of migrants and guarantee them a safe, orderly and dignified flow.
