The Mayor’s Office of Neiva, through the Government Secretariat, led a new session of the Intersectoral Commission for Rapid Response to Early Warnings (Ciprat), in which protection measures and the new alert for political violence are analyzed.
During the meeting, institutional advances in prevention and protection were shared, as well as the new early warning that warns of possible acts of political violence in the electoral framework.

In the session the new Early Alert No. 013 of 2025, issued by the Ombudsman’s Office, that warns about risks of political violence in the context of the electoral process that can be registered in Neiva in view of the electoral process.
The alert includes recommendations to all entities to guarantee safe and peaceful elections, both for the community and for the candidates and the alerts issued for cases of recruitment and presence of groups outside the law.
Jos Ferney Ducuara, Secretary of Government, indicated that “in Ciprat, all linked and concerned entities presented significant progress in the development of actions, activities, prevention and protection of the population and especially adolescent boys and girls, due to the risks to which they are exposed. due to the expansion or confrontation of groups outside the law.
The official added that Also included are “prevention campaigns, disarmaments, patrols, prevention, dismantling of gangs, attention to prioritized casesand other important prevention actions were highlighted during the day by the representatives of the participating entities”.
The meeting was held at the Huellas Library and entities such as the National Police, the Army, the UNP, the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF), the Neiva Person’s Office, the Ombudsman’s Office and the secretariats of Peace, Youth, Women, Children and Social Development, of the city of Neiva.
The objective of this session was to socialize the advances and actions developed for the prevention and comprehensive protection of the population, including especially girls, boys, adolescents and other vulnerable sectors, facing the risks generated by the presence and expansion of armed groups outside the law.

These actions are carried out in an articulated manner as part of the rapid response led by the commission, in order to prevent damage, safeguard life and protect the human rights of all citizens.
