Seven mobile ombudsman offices and three workshops or exhibitions will be held by the Ombudsman’s Office this Friday, November 25, through its 14 regional offices nationwide, with the aim of raising awareness among the population about violence against women and its consequences.
At the main headquarters located in Carrasquilla, there will be a flyer, an information table, while in the regional Chepo there will be a human chain in the San Cristóbal Park and Mobile Defender.
Among other activities in the province of Herrera, its regional office will carry out training for Justices of the Peace on: “Violence against women from the gender perspective: a human rights problem”, on the occasion of the day of Non-Violence against Women and with the aim of guaranteeing adequate family protection and greater access to justice for women.
In Bocas del Toro the regional office will have a human chain and march; in the province of Chiriquí, district of Barú, there will be a mobile defender’s office; in the San Félix regional the activity will be a mobile defender on the field; in Darién walk in the community of La Palma; In the district of La Chorrera, the Victoria D’spinay School Educational Center organizes a training on Women Know Your Rights.
In addition, in the Los Santos regional office there will be a flyer on the day of non-violence against women in the Health Centers of La Palma and San José; Also in the Parque 8 de Diciembre in Penonomé, the Coclé regional office will have mobile defense; in Colón, four educational centers will be visited promoting Ana’s book; In San Miguelito there will be a mobile defense at the Manuel María Valdés Polyclinic and in the Veraguas region there will be a walk, flyer and mobile defense at the Luis “Chicho” Fábrega Hospital.
