Ombudsman opens complaint to the Police for an incident in Ojo de Agua where a Peruvian was shot to death

The Ombudsman’s Office opened an ex officio complaint against the National Police to investigate the violation of the right to life and personal integrity, after an incident in Ojo de Agua, where a citizen of Peruvian nationality lost his life.

The man died at the San Miguel Arcangel hospital, after a confusing chase that ended in bullets.

The National Human Rights Institution (INDH), revealed that it will expand the investigation into the procedure and actions of the police units during this event.

Likewise, the INDH will inform the Attorney General of the Nation, for the possible commission of a punishable act; as well as to the consular entities of Peru.
