The Ombudsman’s Office confirmed the first deceased after clashes between protesters and the National Police in Lima on January 28.
The institution pointed out that it is the citizen Víctor Santisteban Yacsavilca, who was in the protests on Abancay avenue. At the moment, the guard headquarters of the Grau Emergency Hospital is in the respective coordination with the Prosecutor’s Office.
“We monitored the health care at the Guillermo Almenara Hospital for the seriously injured Taine Isidoro Bedon Maguiña. We are also in the hospitals that received injuries, as a result of the protests, to guarantee the right to health for all.”
