The Minister of Labor, Raquel Olmos, assured that the Government assumed the commitment to offer continuity to tripartite negotiations through joint negotiations and highlighted the importance of social dialogue, when closing the 121st plenary meeting of the Federal Labor Council (CFT), which promotes labor policies and programs federally.
The head of the labor portfolio assured in her presentation that private salaried employment grew 0.4 percent compared to the previous month and reached the highest level of the last four yearsand confirmed that the expansion phase of current registered salaried work extended for 21 consecutive months, for which reason approximately 425,000 workers in the sector have already joined formal tasks, a statement said.
Olmos emphasized that “the commitment assumed by the Government is to offer continuity to a vigorous process of tripartite negotiation with the parities”although he clarified that this seeks to maintain “a balance between the recomposition of the purchasing power of wages and a strong bet to break the high nominality, that is, high inflation.”
“The task that each one carries out and develops in each territory of the country is essential, moving from the centrality of labor issues to those of employment. The effort must aim to ensure that those who are currently unemployed or inactive or work without rights reach a position full of rights in the labor market. It is necessary to emphasize training based on new demands and not forget those who have been left behind”he claimed.
Olmos was accompanied by the president of the Executive Committee of the CFT and secretary of Labor and Employment Promotion of La Pampa, Marcelo Pedehontaa, who spoke out for the need to implement “the mechanisms to strengthen the competence of workers, which are highly qualified, therefore the generation of the best tools for the adaptation of these capacities is imposed”.
The employment secretary, Leonardo Di Pietro, read the “Report on Employment and Vocational Training Programs. Execution of the 10 months of 2022” and there were presentations by the Social Security Secretariat, by Luis Bulit Goñi, and by the National Directorate of Labor Relations and Regulations and the National Directorate of Trade Union Associations on the “Thousand Days Plan, Crisis Preventive Procedure, Territorial Articulation and Balance 2022”, by Gabriela Marcello and Monica Risotto, respectively.
The Director General of Social Security Resources of the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP), Mara Ruiz Malec, and Diego Schleser and Victoria Castillo, from the Undersecretary of Planning, Studies and Statistics, also spoke about the “AFIP Digital Salary Book”. of Labor, presented the work “Evaluation of the impact of the benefits of the active employment policy”.
The day was closed with the reports of the Technical Commissions for Employment, Health and Safety at Work; Social Security and Social Security; Labor Police; Prevention and Eradication of Child Labor and all forms of Prohibited Work; Protection and Vulnerable Groups; of Gender and Equality of Opportunities and Agraria.
The Federal Labor Council seeks to strengthen labor administrations and the greater effectiveness of government activity and social actors in the jurisdictions and competencies, and is made up of ministers and secretaries of employment from all over the country.
