The former candidate of Colorado Party, Andres Ojedacontinues campaigning against Wide Frontfar from doing it in favor of Alvaro Delgadowith a clearly monothematic speech in which he tries to instill fears and doubts against the left-wing party, which statistically has a chance of winning in the runoff.
Regarding the economic ideas of the FA, Ojeda assured that the right-wing coalitionof which his party is a part, has “no electoral capacity to stop any chavista adventure “Let it occur to the Parliament of the Frente Amplio.”
“If with (Danilo) Astori as minister, we had a parallel economic team in the OPP (Office of Planning and Budget of the Republic), imagine now that the Ministry of Economy is governed directly by the MPP (Popular Participation Movement),” stated the lawyer.
“There is much more what we have to avoid than what we have to do”
In a speech focused mainly on firing diatribes against the Frente Amplio, Ojeda continued attacking what he believes should be avoided: “There is much more that we have to avoid than what we have to do, which in itself is a lot.. That is why we say that what happens on November 24 is so important for Uruguay. This transcends political parties, people who are not necessarily from our parties voted for us. I believe that here there is already a ‘coalition identity’ that surpasses and has been above the political parties.”
“There is a fact that is incontrovertible: on Sunday, October 27, the coalition beat the FA 48% to 43%. That’s a fact. There are more than 90,000 votes difference, the difference is clear. Afterwards, with the parliamentary award, they come out to say that they are favorites. How can they say the one with 90,000 fewer votes is the favorite? There is only one favorite and his name is Álvaro Delgado,” added Ojeda and hinted at discrediting the pollswho predict a victory for Orsi with votes that would be leaking from the right-wing coalition.
