After the attack on Venezuela and the capture of Maduro and Flores, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, justified the invasion with accusations of drug trafficking by the Maduro government, although without evidence. Also made it clear that the Venezuelan oil sectorwhich has the largest known reserves on the planet, will be controlled by North American companies. And he threatened a second wave of attacks if there is resistance from the country.
