Oil prices fell sharply on Monday after US President Donald Trump said he was hopeful of reaching a deal with Iran over its nuclear program, easing fears of conflict in the oil-rich region.
West Texas Intermediate fell 3.4% to $62.99 a barrel, while North Sea Brent fell 3.2% to $67.09 in Asian morning trading following Trump’s comments.
