Tecpetrol, Pan American Energy (PAE) and TotalEnergies They are the oil companies that are authorized to export natural gas to Brazil through pipelines. Boliviareported the Argentine Energy Secretariat.

Other companies interested in covering the Brazilian market could join these.

TotalEnergies confirmed that they have the authorization of the Energy Secretariat to export to that country and it is not yet defined whether it will be through pipelines in Bolivian territory.

Formal authorization was granted last July to monetize natural gas from the Vaca Muerta mega-deposit.

It was reported that the oil companies are awaiting the completion of the works to reverse the Northern Gas Pipeline and definitions on the rate to be charged if they export through the integrated gas pipeline system in Bolivia.

In June, the Vice President of Administration, Contracts and Supervision of YPFB, Wilman Yabetahad anticipated to EL DEBER that pipelines for the transportation of natural gas were offered to Vaca Muerta production companies.

Yabeta avoided giving details about the fee that is intended to be charged for the use and he only limited himself to saying that the definitions in this regard will not be known until October.

The state oil company’s Integrated Natural Gas Transportation System is operational in the country with a length of 1,000 kilometers.

Its about Juan Azurduy Integrated Gas Pipeline (GIJA) connected to Argentina, the Yacuiba – Río Grande Gas Pipeline (GASYRG) and the Bolivia – Brazil Gas Pipeline (GASBOL) which enters the Brazilian market.
