Officials of the Military Power swear to defend Venezuela against Bolívar and his Libertadora sword

Integrantes del Poder Militar juran defender a Venezuela ante la Espada de Bolívar

“Generals, Admirals, Officers, I can say today, July 4, 2022, Venezuela has someone who defends it, who defends it well, because it has a Military Power firmly planted in the defense of the territory, peace and national unity. Let no one make a mistake with us, ever!” said the Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) on Monday. Nicholas Maduro Moors.

From the Mausoleum of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, in the National Pantheon of Caracas, the President swore in the new officers of the various components who rose to the next higher rank, in a solemn act where the Head of State highlighted the commitment and honor for continue fighting for the Homeland bequeathed by the Liberator, the Próceres and Commander Hugo Chávez.

“Because that is what we are, the Military Power of arms, of a heroic homeland, the Homeland of Bolívar, our Simón Bolívar, here present in these promotions, with his name, his spirit and his blessings,” he said brandishing the Sword Liberator next to the Mausoleum where the immortal remains of the Father of the Nation rest.

Military power of a united and disciplined FANB

He explained that with the 57 promotions of the annual process, he decided on more than 15,150 promotions in officer ranks, professional troops, of the heroic, disciplined and united FANB, which he reiterated is the Military Power of the Homeland.

He recalled that the FANB has been built through hard tests in all circumstances and events. “We have had moments of demand and I told the people and the FANB, in the face of any fact, nerves of steel, calm and sanity, maximum union and maximum civic-military mobilization.”

“So we did it and here we are today, standing and victorious, thanks to the morality, conscience and spirit that unite us as the Bolivarian nation that we are,” he said, adding that before the clarion call of the homeland even the tears of the Mother is silent, as the Liberator said.

Promotions are not privileges but commitments:

“You have worn those uniforms with dignity and integrity and have earned these promotions for moral merits, for patriotic commitment and professional merits, but promotion should not mean any privilege but more self-demand,” he warned.

He asked for more Revolutionary and Bolivarian commitment, efficiency, discipline, creativity, more innovation, cohesion and union as the Military Power that they make up.

“That must mean promotion to the next higher rank: Humility, example, honesty, honor, commitment, patriotism, like Bolívar who reached the top of the military ranks. The love and recognition of the people is the highest rank one can have”.

Oath:

“You swear, before the sword of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, you swear before God, before the national tricolor and the flags of the countries liberated by Bolívar; you swear before the mortal remains of the Liberator, you swear in the presence of your families, to comply with the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic, the laws and military regulations and not to give rest to your arms, nor rest to your souls, to work tirelessly for a Sovereign, just, supportive, dignified, socialist homeland. Do you swear?!”,

Upon obtaining the affirmative answer, the President reminded them that the oath must be remembered every day to fulfill their commitments and take pride in being soldiers and officers of Venezuela.

“If they do it as they have sworn, may God and the people reward them, otherwise they will be sued… Go along the path of honor and patriotism, to make shine the promotion you earned through your own efforts and merits. Congratulations. God bless you. I congratulate you!”.
