The General Directorate of Culture and Education (DGCyE) of the province of Buenos Aires, made official, this Monday, the optional use of the chinstrap in all educational institutions.
The guideline on the use of the mask determined by the DGCyE, applies to students at all levels of education, both in the public and private sectors, who from now on will use the chinstrap in certain spaces.
According to the regulations, the chinstrap It will be recommended in the closed spaces of any educational institution, since this element serves as protection to reduce the risk of contagion of coronavirus.
This decision was made at the Federal Health Council (Cofesa) held on March 18, between the provincial health authorities, who agreed to continue with several of the self-care measures.
Among them, it is recommended to keep the spaces ventilated, sanitize hands frequently, as well as cough or sneeze into the elbow crease and continue with the vaccination.
This measure is added to that announced by the Buenos Aires Ministry of Health, who indicated that the use of the chinstrap will be optional “in work, recreational and educational spaces for those people whose use implies some difficulty.”
Where is the use of the chinstrap mandatory?
After the pronouncement of the Ministry of Health on the optional use of the maskthe provincial government clarified that this element of protection is mandatory in certain spaces.
Among them, it would be closed or poorly ventilated places, in addition to public transport (train, subway, Minibus, etc.)in addition to massive events in closed spaces.
Although it is still recommended to use the chinstrapsince the risk of contagion decreases, due to the drop in cases of coronavirus, the authorities begin to relax the measures.
However, they also emphasize that the pandemic is not over, so getting vaccinated and maintaining self-care will be decisive in avoiding a fourth wave.
