The Ministry of Labor made official this Friday, through its Official Gazette, the 21% increase that was set for the minimum salaryat the last meeting of the Salary Council, where the agreement on the increase was almost unanimous.
The document signed by the Minister of Labor, Claudio Moroni, establishes that the increase in minimum salary It will be carried out in three tranches: 7% in September, 7% in October and 7% in November. With the increase, starting next month the minimum wage will go from $47,850 to $51,200.
Then in October the minimum salary it will increase to $54,550, while in November it will remain at $57,900. In this same month, the Salary Council will meet again to review the aforementioned values.
For their part, “jornalized” workers will also have a proportional increase per hour, according to the Government, which will be, in September, $256; in October, $272 and in November, $289.
As for unemployment benefits, those who receive the minimum amount will receive $14,222, while those who receive the maximum amount will receive $23,704, as of September 1. Then, in October, they will receive $15,153 and $25,254 respectively, and in November, $16,083 and $26,805.
It should be remembered that, in August, after enabling the 10% increase that had been established in the agreement signed in April, the workers received $47,850 of minimum wage.
Nevertheless, Given the growing inflationary pressure, a new increase was determined for the coming months. With the increases set this week, the year-on-year increase in the minimum wage would reach 80.9%.
What social programs are impacted by the salary increase
