As the new president of Banco Nación, it is expected that, in the coming days, Silvina Batakis begin to give the first signs of his administration and, according to presidential spokesperson Gabriela Cerruti, will also evaluate the continuity of some positions in the agency.
“The former minister Silvina Batakis it is already in charge of Banco Nación. He is going to start taking the first steps in his new role and, among them, he is going to evaluate the continuity or not of all the directors of the Bank“, Cerruti pointed out during his usual press conference at Casa Rosada.
According to official sources, before handing over his post as head of the Palacio de Hacienda, batakis signed, in Río Gallegos, an extension to the construction contract for the “Néstor Kirchner” and “Carlos Cepernic” dams, two large-scale energy projects for the country.
The execution of this hydroelectric project, located in the province of Santa Cruz, aims to generate 1,310 MW of clean energy and is in charge of Represas Patagonia, a temporary union of companies (UTE) formed by the Chinese Gezhouba Group Corporation, Eling Energia SA and Hidrocuyo.
Now, the continuity of the works must be supervised by the new Minister of Economy, Productive Development and Agriculture, Sergio Massa, who is also preparing an international tour to publicize his new economic plan and get more reserves for the Central Bank.
