Official launch in Uruguay of Spark AR, Meta’s augmented reality platform

The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining (MIEM), the Technological University of Uruguay (UTEC), The Electric Factory and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will officially launch Spark AR, the augmented reality platform of the Meta company, in Uruguay. Through this, Meta (former Facebook) will train young people in augmented reality with the support of the Government of Uruguay and the organizing institutions.

The event will take place on November 1, at 3:30 pm, in the Telecommunications Tower (Guatemala corner. Paraguay, Idea Vilariño room, Montevideo). The Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining, Omar Paganini, will attend, among other authorities.

Through this initiative, more than 600 people over 18 years of age, especially young people, will be trained free of charge, so that they can learn about, develop and certify in skills for the design of augmented reality filters for Facebook and Instagram, through through the Meta Spark platform.
