exactly one year ago, the prosecutor José Domingo Pérez managed to issue the impediment to Kuczynski for the Interoceanic case. This time he had a setback.
According to the prosecution, when PPK presided over the Board of Directors of Proinversión -when he was Minister of Economy during the government of Alejandro Toledo (2001-2006)- there would have been “allegedly defrauded the State by arranging with the representatives of the Odebrecht company and associates, as well as public officials to favor it in the concession process of the IIRSA SUR Interoceanic Road Corridor Project, sections 2 and 3, causing patrimonial damage to the State, being that from the development of the facts exposed we find the following irregularities noted as indications of coordination”.
