In the last panel of the day, observers followed a lecture by political scientists and specialists in strategic communication about the country’s political scenario and the electoral process.

The delegation also paid a visit to the Senate, where they were received by the president of the House, Rodrigo Pacheco. At the Congress, the delegation participated in a lecture on the functioning of the legislative process in Brazil.

In the morning, the ministers of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Ricardo Lewandowski and Cármen Lúcia participated in the seminar.

Lewandowski highlighted the “ease of voting, extreme simplicity in the expression of the vote”. He added that another advantage is the speed with which the result of the vote is known. “This pacifies the country,” he assured.

Minister Cármen Lúcia then addressed the “challenges of democracy in the world and in Latin America”.

The participation of observers in the election was authorized by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) in order to guarantee the transparency and security of the election, in addition to improving the Brazilian electoral system.
