The Organization of American States (OAS) announced who are the members of the delegation that our country will visit next week to analyze the political crisisas part of the activation process of the Democratic Charter.
There are five chancellors: Santiago Andres Cafierofrom Argentina; Eamon Courtneyfrom Belize; Juan Carlos Holguinfrom Ecuador; Mario Adolfo Bucarofrom Guatemala and Julio Cesar Arriolafrom Paraguay.
They will be accompanied by Laura GilVice Minister of Multilateral Affairs of Colombia; Christian GuillermetVice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica and Eladio Loizagaformer Foreign Minister of Paraguay, who will come on behalf of the OAS General Secretariat.
The exact date of the trip to our country is not yet defined.
It should be noted that the recommendations reached by the conclusion of the OAS they are binding. “Yes, in all the articles it is, as a guarantee of the preservation of democracy,” sources close to that institution told La República.
