In the security collaboration that there will be with the next United States government, the Mexican administration will put emphasis on the situation in US territory: how the drugs enter, who distributes them and what happens with the money for their sale, the president stated. Likewise, without question, he referred to a report by the American newspaper The New York Times in which it is stated that two of its journalists entered a fentanyl production laboratory in Sinaloa.
The president ruled out that it was a laboratory for manufacturing that drug. He stressed that, after discussing it with members of his security cabinet, from the images, it is deduced that it is a space for the production of methamphetamines.
“One thing is the production of methamphetamine and another very different thing is that of fentanyl.” […]. It’s not very credible; let’s put it like this. Fentanyl is produced in other ways, which the Secretary of the Navy or Cofepris can inform what the production methods are.
“But it is not credible, the photographs that are presented there, even because of the damage to health that these drugs could cause for those who are cooking, as they say. […]. This report is not very credible because of how it is being presented and we are going to prove it scientifically,” he emphasized.
During yesterday morning he trusted that there will be a good relationship with the next president of the neighboring country to the north, Donald Trump, and collaboration against insecurity, but interference will not be allowed.
“We have to collaborate, even for humanitarian reasons, to prevent this pandemic of fentanyl consumption in the United States from continuing.” […]; Very important is: what happens when the drug enters the United States? How is fentanyl sold in the cities of the United States? Or are there no illegal sales there? Who sells it there? Who distributes it? Where does the money from the sale of drugs in the United States go?” he stressed.
The president stressed that just as Mexico deals with the issue in its own territory, Washington must do its part.
He pointed out that on immigration matters there may not be coincidences with Trump; However, Mexico will defend its compatriots. If Mexicans were not in the United States, there would be no food on the tables of Americans.

In another order, he asserted that it is already being investigated whether or not there are links between the mayor of Coalcomán, Michoacán, Anavel Ávila Castrejón (MC), and the boss of the Jalisco Nueva Generación cartel (CJNG), Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes El Mencho.

On the other hand, he regretted that Washington has not yet clarified the situation that caused the crisis of violence that is being experienced in Sinaloa – the kidnapping of Ismael El Mayo Zambada, boss of the Sinaloa cartel.
